My name is Sonia Birla, I am a junior at Enloe High School. I was promoted to co- president of DOC NC (Dedicated to our Community of North Carolina, a local volunteering group) after serving as its secretary for two years. DOC NC has helped me grow as a person and improve my leadership skills. As part of DOC NC, I spearheaded the Legacy Project: a task dedicated to sharing the stories of senior citizens by interviewing and documenting their lives. At school, I am co-president of the Graphic Design Club and part of the National Honor Society. I also enjoy designing, film, writing, and photography. I am excited to be part of HumSub and share Indian culture with those who are not familiar with it!
