Rishi Ranabothu is a student at Enloe High School. He is associated with organizations such as Hindu Society of NC(HSNC), NC Interfaith Power and Light(NCIPL; ncipl.org), Youth Empowered Solutions(YES), Boys and Girls Club, Boy Scouts of America, Cary Teen Council, First Lego League, HOSA-Future Health Professionals, Future Business Leaders of America(FBLA) etc.
Rishi is the founder and youth leader of NCIPL Youth Leaders Initiative(NCIPL YLI), which works with faith-based congregations including the Sai Baba Mandir, HSNC, and other Churches, Mosques, and Synagogues, to implement sustainability and energy efficient practices. His efforts resulted in a $4000 grant from Youth Empowered Solutions (YES). Recently, he mentored a First Lego League(FLL) robotics team that won Regionals and got to the State competition, a level he achieved twice himself as a competitor, and received the outstanding Youth Mentor Award at both the Regional and State levels of the FLL competition.
Rishi established a robotics club at the Boys and Girls Club at Washington Elementary for underprivileged kids, and mentors the kids Lego robotics and STEM applications.
